Foundational learning is the basis of a child's education. As Per NEP-2020 The Foundation of Learning stage comprises of 5 years from Pre-primary to Grade-2.[(age group – 3.5 to 7 years). It refers to basic literacy, numeracy and transferable skills, which are the building blocks for a life of learning.
At Redhills, The Foundation of Learning will be to attain optimal outcomes in the domains of physical and motor development, cognitive, socio-emotional-ethical development, cultural / artistic development, and the development of communication, early language literacy, and numeracy.
Significant emphasis is placed on providing individual attention to develop each student’s potential and thus help the students gain confidence in their abilities to explore new areas of learning. Our team of qualified teachers initiates the young students to explore new areas of learning in a child-centered environment.
Students are encouraged to participate in an array of fun-filled activities like story-telling sessions, field trips, special assembly, indoor and outdoor games, and singing. Students also have fun during hands on learning experiences.
The Students at the Preparatory Stage are always abuzz with exciting fun-filled activities and events. The preparatory stage comprises of 3 years from classes 3 to 5 (age group - 8 to 11 years). These are the founding years, where we help to instill the right values and a strong sense of responsibility and ethics in all our students.
As per NEP, 2020 the teaching process at Redhills includes curriculum integration with play, discovery, activity-based, interactive learning, and cognitive development of a child. The focus is still on language and numeracy skills.
Apart from preparing our students to succeed in academics, we emphasize the importance of maintaining strong moral values, honesty, and integrity in every task they take up. A great emphasis is laid on positive motivation.
The pace of academic demands are slowly accelerated with holistic growth in focus, our students are gradually prepared to accept challenges.
As per NEP-2020, The middle Stage will be from classes 6th to 8th (age group - 11 to 14 years). The middle Stage will comprises of three years in school education, building up on the pedagogical and curricular style of the Preparatory Stage.
At this stage, introduction tomore abstract concepts in each subject like Science, Mathematics, Arts, Social Science and Humanities will enable the student to experiment and experience their thought process.
Experiential learning within each subject and exploraing their association with different subjects, will be encouraged and emphasized along with the introduction of more specialized subjects.
Music, Dance, Art and crafts, Physical Education, and Library are included in the timetable to make sure that their latent talents are developed and taken to a new height. It is our constant endeavour to lay the foundation for aesthetic appreciation and enjoyment of extracurricular activities.
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum that is designed to match the educational needs of the students within the requirements of the CBSE. As per NEP-2020 Secondary Stage will be from Grades 9 to 12(age group - 15 to 18 years).
Our objective is to equip the students with knowledge, skills, and values that will enable them to face the Board Examination with confidence and at ease. Students gain experience in life skills for their personal and professional development that enables them to grow into young adults who are socially aware of their responsibilities towards the society.
Apart from these, Subject Enrichment Activities are also conducted. The school updates its curriculum annually to keep the challenges of tomorrow at par with the advancement in technology and modification in the CBSE syllabus. Technology not only deepens student learning in the content areas but also empowers them with life skills that help them meet the challenges in life.
The course in XI/XII is intended to provide students with a high level of competence through extensive exposure in the different subjects through practical experiments, presentations, discussions, and interaction with renowned resource personnel. Practical Classes organised in the different Labs provide students good exposure to the theoretical concepts.
