Good playgrounds, better health
“The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct”
Play ground is a different tool in education altogether. Good outdoor environments encourage children to be physically active by developing their physical skills as well as confidence. They can foster the development of teamwork, social skills, creativity, and positive behaviour. Besides the games played the students imbibe team spirit, determination, concentration and organisation. When children are closely involved in developing and looking after their outdoor environment, it helps to develop their sense of belonging, participation, respect and pride.
We understand how regular access to quality natural spaces can help address some of the most pressing challenges children are facing today. Our vision is that every child in Redhills should use and enjoy the school playground that purposefully supports their health and wellbeing.
As per NEP 2020, these factors contribute positivity and has a significant role in children’s physical and emotional health. It also encourages health-promoting habits and attitudes that have a lasting impact into their adulthood.
At KMV Redhills we have two ideal play areas, one specially designed for the foundational classes and the other for students of higher classes. We consider sports as an integral part of curricular activity.
The School also offers infrastructure for the physical development of each child and provides coaching to a variety of sporting disciplines like football, cricket, table tennis, kabaddi, carom, and chess. Students have been allotted hours in their time-table for sports where they will be mentored by trained coaches.
