Sports curriculum is an integral part of KMV Redhills High School as we aspire to impart quality education to the young and energetic students not only in academics but also in extra-curricular activities.
KMV Redhills High School has a standard swimming pool where students are encouraged to learn swimming as it continues to be a good source of physical exercise coupled with fun. Interested students get the coaching for 1 or 2 hours per week during the school working hours, under the guidance of the swimming coach.
Swimming is a discipline that imparts mental and physical strength to the student’s mind and body. The school intends to teach the students to swim confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25metres. This will enable the learners to use a range of strokes effectively and at the same time to imbibe the skills to develop self-rescue techniques.
The pool facility is equipped with a filtration unit as the importance of pool hygiene is always a priority. Separate rooms for changing and shower facilities are available for boys and girls.
We believe that students should build on and embed physical development and related skills to become more competent and confident. The children are taught to analyse and understand what makes a performance effective.
